So, I'm alive.
It has been a while.
I managed to go through welcome week without a single drink. ms. responsible?
My roommate, Erica, is a sweetheart.
I have had to spend $348.36 on books so far.. and that was with a 10% discount on my used books, and the girl who rang me up accidentally missed charging me for a $42 book. Plus, I still have another one to pick up that I had to special order. .. I expected to spend less than $300 on books this semester (I'm broke). My mom tells me not to worry so much about these financial things, but that's kind of hard to do when I have to be responsible for paying for everything myself.
I'm still working in the caf. Oh the wonderful caf. I applied for a lifeguarding job so that I could stop spending hours upon hours washing dishes. I feel kind of guilty for doing it because today my student supervisors were actually nice and acted like they cared.
Monday was my first day and I was assigned a 5 page paper that was due today. Our microwave is extremely temperamental and my bike lock gives me troubles to no end. I'm overwhelmed in more ways than one.
I have had a sore lump in my foot for a number of days now, but it seems to be going away, and yesterday I found one in my belly, right above my belly button. I'm just falling apart here. Hopefully, probably, it's nothing.
Everyone seems to be going home this weekend, but Mark's coming up. I'm really excited to see him, we haven’t been apart this long since.. last semester? It's rough. I blame the distance for all of my physical ailments.
I feel ready for a breakdown at any moment now..

Friday: We will be back in time for Mark and I to go to the Counting Crows & Goo Goo Dolls concert!!
Saturday: I'll be turning 19. Back to Canada?
Sunday: nada
Monday: Mark turns 19 and I go back to the pool to teach swim lessons.

What could you see me doing when I "grow up"?
According to my parents, I have more potential career-wise than something I was considering (dental hygienist, rather than an English/Psych teacher).
So what if I have potential to do things, my self-doubt proves to be self-defeating.

So I did 4.0 all of my classes (I doubt it will ever happen again, I doubt my parents will even care enough to ask about it), but I don't think that I can afford to get my ears pierced anymore after spending all of my money from working this last semester on my French books for OCC ($185!!).
Class started last night, the prof. spoke in French the entire time.. it's a 4 hour long class.
So long sweet summer.
